Local community supporting foster youth transitioning to a thriving adulthood

Our Mission

We offer connection, trustworthy guidance, consistency, and compassion to create a strong foundation for foster youth transitioning to adulthood. Through accountability to a local community of supporters, participants have the opportunity to strategize a game plan and take practical steps towards their individual goals. Demonstrated effort, sustained progress, and personal growth earn them a travel ticket for a life-changing world adventure, followed by ongoing support and a hand-up as they return and embark on their next adventure.

Approximately 23,000 young people age out of the U.S. foster care system each year. They are struggling to adjust to adulthood. Many are homeless the day they age out. They are dealing with trauma, high rates of substance abuse, mental health issues, and extremely high rates of incarceration.

At 24 years old, 50% are unemployed.

At 21 years old, 71% of the girls are pregnant and their children are often back in the system.

This transition to adulthood without permanent family connections presents significant challenges and hinders their path toward self-sufficiency and well-being. Help is needed.

How Your Donations Will Be Used

We believe transparency builds trust. Every donation directly supports our mission. We are a grassroots organization with no currently paid employees. This allows us to have the vast majority of all donations go directly to our target participants, ages 18-25. Contributions help fund our youth programming, community building events, life skills training, essential operations, community outreach, participant travel experiences that expand confidence and opportunity, and the training and support of our dedicated volunteers. We are committed to using every dollar responsibly and sharing openly about how funds are used to create lasting impact.
